This was super fun! I would highly recommend. The time allowed for self exploration was a little limited but given that you get to go to so many locations it’s understandable. Definitely do this tour!

The program has been sharply applied, the guide was funny, very punctual and friendly. We saw the important places in the two cities and we got the most important stories and history of the places.

Alvaro did an amazing job on the tour! He made it very personalized, was very knowledgeable, kind, and stayed very positive and upbeat during the cold rain experienced. He continued on the tour and was patience with the group. It was great to see Brugge and Ghent. Both cities have a lot of history and Alvaro did a great job sharing interesting stories to keep the group interested.

A+ for Bruges & Ghent

, May 2022
Our guide, Albert ??, was a historical master of the areas. The weather in Bruges was good, but in Ghent, we experienced heavy rain, which made it difficult. The portion of the tour in Bruges could have been better with more free time. We barely had enough time to grab food prior to catching the bus. Also, I don't like having to hear everything on the bus in multiple languages. The history of the areas we saw and the beautiful sites, were wonderful. Our guide was entertaining and understanding the background of the areas we visited was what we came for so we definitely enjoyed this tour.

Álvaro, our tour guide was very nice and new a lot about the story of the places we visited, he made us role-play in order to explain certain costumes in the old times. He was really a delight. The only thing we were kind of unhappy with was the that the tour includes beer and chocolate sampling, which did not happened, in other tour we got offered cheese samples and it was delicious, this tour leaves you with the crave, haha.

Poor Tour Guide Support
VincentL
, May 2022
We joined the tour to Brugge and Ghent. While the tour guide spent a lot of time explaining the various attractions, he then require us to rush to the other stops to make up for the time. We are 60+ so we cannot keep to this walking pace. Also we did not have enough time for lunch. We also had to find our own way to the meeting place from the town center and was late as we got lost The tour did not wait for us and we missed the second part to Ghent. The tour guide should have meet us in the city Centre and bring us out. I see so many other tour guides doing this. This is poor service and attitude to leave your customer behind. Weather is cold and my wife was too chilled.

Bruges is a fairytale village. I would recommend a full day trip and skip Ghent. Our guide on the bus was very hard to understand.

Mark was great. Explained everything I and others asked. More patient than I! Self absorbed passengers are irritating. Just saying

Good combination of two great destinations into one day
Dawn_B
, May 2022
Mark was a great guide on this comprehensive journey to two good destinations. Both Bruges and Ghent are worth a day trip but Mark and his team did a good job of providing the highlights of both in a one day trip. We enjoyed seeing and learning about the main sights in each town and then having about half the time for our free use. With our guide’s input we were able to find good meals and highlights to visit.

Everything was just perfect and on time. Perhaps some more free time in Bruges would be nice. Don't miss out on the waffles in Bruges.

Good tour if you are limited on time

I only had so much time to sight see while in Belgium for work and wanted to hit both cities so this tour was good for that purpose. It was very convenient to have the tour group handle all the travel and showed you some highlights of each place. That being said it really is not enough time. You are very rushed and there really isnt a ton of extra time to explore on your own after the history part of the tour is over. This tour should probably be longer to a lot for a little more time for people. Plus it was very busy the day I went so I felt like some time got wasted sitting in traffic trying to get into Bruges and that should be accounted for. I paid to to see the tour not to sit in traffic. So overall Im glad I went because now I know what I need to come back and see on my own time when I'm back in town, but if you want a more relaxed tour I would only do one city a day to take your time and enjoy it.

We did the English speaking tour. Our guide was very nice, he gave a great overview of both cities, their history and buildings. We had 60-90 mins free time in each city after the guided tour. Highly recommend this tour to see 2 beautiful cities in 1 day.

An unremarkable tour

Nothing very memorable in this trip. Most of the trip is not scenic. Ghent is no different from Brussels. Bruges is worth visiting, but it’s only an hour train trip and could be self guided. .

Good tour but unreasonable guides
Emma_M
, May 2022
Lovely trip but we were not told that the tour group were going to be split up. Five of us booked the trip and then got assigned to different groups. The tour guide was annoyed we didn't tell her we were together, but we were not told the group would be splitting up. Maybe make that clear on the tour discription for future groups that are booking to know that the need to book under the same booking. Also, we were told nurmous times that if we were not back on time, the bus would leave without us and we could get a train back. I understand punctuality is important but it caused unnecessary anxiety and we could not fully enjoy our free time as we kept checking the clock to ensure we were not late. Also, the tour guide was seemed irritated everytime we stopped to take pictures. There were some beautiful sights that we would not have had time to find in our free time so we took pictures as we went along.

Dear Emma, Thank you for you remark ,it 's really important to know tha there is a law in Bruges to limit the number of people for each tour guide in order control the tourism in the city. This is the reason , that the tour guides have to divide the group between them. If they do not know beforehand, it could happen but if you tell them , so you do not need to book under the same name. On the other hand, due to the tour is in two cities at the same day, the schedule is really tight so the punctuality is crucial to fully enjoy the experience.Sorry if the reminder caused you anxiety, we try to do the tour smoothly. As well for the pictures, we always recomment that you could take them meanwhile the tour guide is giving the explanation. We will take into account your remarks in order to improve our trip.
