Nice paddle through the mangroves in Pennekamp State Park. Would have liked a bit more information about the history of the region and the wildlife. We only saw some neat jellyfish and smaller fish. Wear a bathing suit if you want to take a quick swim. Neatest part was going through the tunnel of mangroves.

Loved kayaking through the mangroves while learning all about them and the diverse ecosystem from the guide. I don’t see how anyone could navigate through the tunnels without a guide and not get hopelessly lost or touch something accidentally that might hurt them, but nonetheless there were people out there winging it. I’m glad we had a guide to point out the fish and other creatures, otherwise I would have missed a lot. We saw several types of fish, the upside down jellyfish, 2 nurse sharks, a cool bird, iguana, and learned about the 3 types of mangrove and other plant species. The guide (I don’t remember his name but he was a cool dude) got a sea snail from the bottom so we could see it up close. We also had the chance to hold the jellyfish (I didn’t hold it myself). We were told there was a 50/50 chance of seeing a manatee, and unfortunately we didn’t see any. The water is calm and in some places you just drift along. It should be easily doable for beginners. You will have to maneuver through narrow mangrove tunnels, so be prepared to grab branches and make sure the person in the back of the kayak understands how to steer the boat lol. Luckily I was solo. I loved how peaceful it felt drifting through the mangroves and quietly searching for sea life. I’d definitely go on this trip again.

The trip was great overall an awesome activity for my family. I really loved the tour guide and he knew exactly what he was talking about/showing us. Would recommend for everyone but need a little experience kayaking.

Our guide was great! Very knowledgeable about the area and quite personable! I think going on a tour versus by yourself is more enjoyable plus you won’t get lost in the mangroves!

This was exactly what we needed! It was beautiful, active, and it was fun to learn a bit more about floridas ecosystem. They were organized and punctual, and thought of all of the things! Bob was a great guide. Everyone was really friendly. We all loved it. Highly recommend

Our guide, Janet, was friendly and informative, and she was mindful of and sensitive to the various kayaking skill levels. It was great to see the Mangrove Tunnels up close and personal. The water was crystal clear, and Janet tried to point out the fish and crabs, as she saw them. It was a great time!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and taught us the entire trip. She also would engage in story telling with members of the group as they expressed their experiences. My daughter and I really loved it. Very relaxing and fun day. One thing I would remind everyone of is to bring polarized sunglass so you can see through the water. A cheap pair works and you can see soooo much more.

Great trip for all levels!
We went with a family group including our special needs daughter. We had her in a tandem kayak without a paddle and she loved seeing the fish and jellyfish. It is a great trip for all levels. Our guide was great and she knows a lot about the ecosystem and wildlife of the area. We had a great morning.

We were disappointed to find out at the dock that it was two people to a kayak. There was no indication of this in the ad.

Holding the jelly fish was an unexpected highlight! I didn't know there were any types that won't sting you. Our guide was amazing and informative! No manatees were out when we were kayaking, but that's 100% out of the guides control. She said they saw them earlier in the week, so it's just hit and miss what nature will let you see.

The mangrove tour was ok but nothing amazing. The ad spoke of snorkeling but that really wouldn't have worked. Also, there were no snacks.
