Most fun!

Fabulous, fun evening! Stevo was the perfect guide. Informative and charming. A highlight of our trip to München. Would highly recommend this excursion!
A solo traveler on a great night out
, May 2022
As a solo traveler, this tour was a great way to spend an evening. I learned about the history of beer in Munich and it’s continuing importance in Bavarian culture/life. I enjoyed local food and beer with company. Our guide Matthew was great! Really made the experience come alive with interesting facts and stories.
Has potential to be great, but missed the mark

This started out great, but it didn’t live up to our expectations. First, you don’t get to see the Octoberfest Museum, you just go downstairs and drink three tiny beers and a very salty pretzel. Nothing mentioned about the history of Octoberfest. Second, we get to HB and wait in the heat for a half glass of beer, then at around 21:00 we go to a restaurant to be served a little sharing plate of precut cheese and ham and pigs lard. People left without paying for their beers which upset the waitress and she says it happens with this group all the time. And we met way out of the way only to illegally ride on the train to get back into the city. It’s an honour system and no one paid, good job 🙄
Our guide was excellent

Our tour began with a beer and an historical review of the importance of beer in the area. Great stops, stories, beer and food.
If you enjoy beer-DO IT!

This tour was so much fun! I am so pleased we got to wander around. Hofbrau Haus was by far the most impressive. I highly recommend this tour if you have a free night!
Would have been fine to skip this one
, May 2022
This tour was a decent value for the money, however, I did not enjoy it for a few reasons. 1. The meetup point does not make sense, as it is a subway ride from old town (where the tour takes place + ends). It would make much more logical sense to meet somewhere in old town (or perhaps at the first establishment). 2. The tour should be advertised as bilingual (not English only). Much of the tour and conversations between the guide and participants were in German, and those of us who spoke only English were quite confused at times (of course, if it were advertised as bilingual, that would have been completely fine, as those would have been the expectations going in). I typically try to stick to English-only tours so as not to feel lost, so I would not have booked this if I had known. 3. This tour should be advertised as a beer tour only - there was very little food (or conversations around the food). 4. Nearly half of the group showed up to the tour drunk, and were very loud throughout the tour. While this was not the tour company’s fault per se, I wish the group was told to quiet down a bit more firmly. It ruined much of the experience for those of us that were there to learn. 5. The tour was scheduled to end at 9/9:30, however, our guide left us at the restaurant well before 9 without explaining how payment for our drinks should be handled - we knew we had to pay for them, but we were left there without knowledge on how we were to get our individual bills (we also weren’t sure if the food boards were included). This lack of communication at the end left many of us feeling lost. It is not a huge deal, but clearer communication would be helpful. Overall, the tour was fine. I personally would not do it again (or refer a friend to it). I would have preferred to visit the places myself and try the beers at my own pace.

Hi Kellie. Thank you for your review and all your feedback. We are sorry to read the tour, though you thought was good value for money, did not meet your expectations. Since you took the time to give such detailed feedback I feel obliged to do the same. To your points: 1) The meeting point for all our tours is at the same place, at our tour office - Radius Tours, Dachauerstrasse 4. We have groups meet here for all tours for consistency. On the Bavarian Beer and Food Evening Tour our guest also receive a complimentary beer at the start of the tour. Meeting where we do also enables guests to enjoy that cold beer from our fridge at the start of the tour. 2. The tour is an english tour and all information provided to the group will have been given in english. Most of our guides speak both english and german though so it could be that there were german speaking guests on the tour and our guide was comunicating with them in german at times. This situation can come up, though it is less common. 3) The tour is advertised as a Bavarian Beer and Food Evening Tour in Munich as both Bavarian Beer and Food are sampled on the tour. The history is more focussed on the beer because that caters to most peoples interests. 4) We are sorry to read that you felt a number of the guests showed up already drunk. Things are expected to get a little louder on this tour than other walking tours due to the nature of the tour and the loud locations. Our guides are experienced in managing groups of drinkers and are free to use there discression to asses peoples behaviour and act accordingly. 5) It sounds like our guide could have been better at comunicating these details at the end of the tour for you. We appologise for the inconvenience and confusion.
Not bad but logistical issues
, May 2022
It was a good tour, our guide had charisma and that made it fun. We went to visit the Oktoberfest museum but the exhibits were closed for now. We went to Hofbrauhaus but there was some issue and we weren't able to stay and had to leave. The guide apologized and got us 2 beers at the last stop. We were disappointed to skip Hofbrauhaus but the guide's humor and wit still made for a nice night

Thanks for the review Lauren. Unexpected issues can occaionaly pop up, like it sounds was the case here with the Hoffbräuhaus. We are glad you were still able to enjoy the night and our guide did their best to make up and accomodate.
Great way to learn about beer and meet friends

Stevo is the best! He deserves a raise. It was raining and we still had the time of our lives. We went to multiple different places and learned a bunch about beer
