Tom was a fantastic tour guide and learned a lot about the history of Munich, Oktoberfest, and Bavaria in general. The seats in the tent were fabulous and would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great time and fantastic beer!

The guide walked us around downtown Munich, and told us the evolution of Oktoberfest. Then, it was off to our tent. Great music, and a great time. Everything we needed to enjoy the festival. Some things to note: the ticket includes 1/2 a chicken, but you can purchase side orders to go with it. It was great to go for the first seating, because that allowed us to walk the grounds in the daylight and enjoy the midway atmosphere. If you are going, be sure to wear your oktoberfest costumes, and bring a warm jacket and comfortable shoes.

This package made for a great day in Munich. The tour gave a great overview of interesting historical locations throughout the city center. Having a reserved space in an Oktoberfest tent and food/beer vouchers made everything so easy. It took all of the stress and planning out of the equation and let us enjoy all of our time at Oktoberfest. One good thing to know that wasn’t in the description is that the tour group takes public transportation together to get from central Munich to the Oktoberfest site. The process when very smoothly because our guide was such a pro and it certainly made things easier on our legs.

The ONLY Way to See Oktoberfest in Munich!

Great small group tour that started with a two-hour walk around old town Munich. By the end of the tour, our group of 14 had bonded and we headed over to a major beer tent at the Oktoberfest fairgrounds, where we had reserved seats. We each received two giant beers and a half of a roasted chicken. Add one pretzel (which feeds 5 people) and it was a recipe for fun. Our tour guide Tom was the perfect mix of info and party guide. This is the only way to do Oktoberfest. You will never get a seat on your own or be able to relax enough to enjoy the event. Worth every penny!

How can you not have a blast during Oktoberfest!? With this tour package you not only gain insights into Munich's history, but guaranteed a table in a tent to experience it to the fullest. It was definitely worth the cost, and we had a great guide, and left with new lifelong friends!

Would highly recommend is tour. There was a total of seven of us in our group. Taurus starts off in downtown Munich by the glockenspiel. Our tour guide , Kevin, was very informative. The way through downtown Munich in about an hour and a half Kevin told us all the history behind the City and its attachment to beer. Then he took us on the subway to the fairgrounds. We had a ball!. If you can get an evening reservation oh, it's much better than daytime reservations.

Would highly recommend this tour for Oktoberfest! You get to experience some of the city highlights and get acquainted with other people in your group before you get to the beer tent. Our tour guide was really nice and had a great sense of humor. This is the best way to get into a designated area of a Tent (we were in Lowenbrau). The 2 beers and Chicken that are included are just right but you can always order some more beer or fooe. Our group was super fun and we were singing and dancing in no time! Highly recommend this experience!

We were very impressed with the city walking tour and then the tour of the Oktoberfest grounds! But of course the best part was the reserved table in the Lowenbrau tent where we had a marvelous time enjoying liters of beer and German food. Highly recommend this tour if you want to go to Oktoberfest and want to guarantee yourself a spot in a tent! Our guide Kevin was great and very knowledgeable about Munich and Oktoberfest.

Tom our guide provided great insight into Munich from how and when it started to changes over the years. He led us into the Oktoberfest with tips that we could use if we came back on our own. He joined us in the Lowenbrau tent in helping us enjoy the music, food and beer. Myself, my wife and our two sons 28 and 30 would recommend to all.

This was a great tour, our guides Tom and Kevin are very knowledgeable and fun. Reserved seats at a tent is way to avoid long lines waiting to get into Octoberfest tents. We spent 2 more days going back to sites Tom pointed out as must see in Munich.

The city tour component focused more on the history of beer than Munich itself and didn't cover much ground leaving me disappointed. We had a small group and the guide often walked off well ahead, which frankly made me feel like an inconvenience. The Oktoberfest part was better, interesting history, a good table in a good tent but, as only as good as the company you have, which is a complete gamble. Overall I didn't feel like it was money well spent.

Great event, so glad we scheduled it for our 1st time at Octoberfest. I loved the Munich tour and the Octoberfest tour before our time in the beer tent. Our guide Sophie was awesome and her colleague who was there was fun and helped us also. They made it engaging and informative and fun at the same time!!

Jay was our tour guide, he was absolutely awesome. He had great energy and vast knowledge of the history that brought Munich and its fascinating beer culture to fruition. On top of that we made sure we were aware of the proper "drinking customs" while at the actual Oktoberfest. Aside from that I Highly recommend doing a tour like this. You not only get a great look at the city and Oktoberfest but have the opportunity to meet new people and make some awesome friends. All three of my group thoroughly enjoyed this and will have memories to cherish for the rest of our days. (what we can remember after all the drinking that is)

Our tour guide Jay was great . He knew just about everything about Munich and beer. He was also funny and could carry on a great conversation. After the walking tour was over he took us by train to the Oktoberfest grounds and took us to our tent and got to our tables. He did not leave us but stayed and talked to us and let us know how the Oktoberfest got started and when. Then he let know a lot of traditional things about drinking in Germany. He was great . When you go ask for Jay to guide you

We booked this tour for our first trip to Oktoberfest. Upon original research, we were a little confused on how to experience the festival. Booking this experience eased our minds and made sure we didn't mess it up! The meeting place was clear, introductions made and agenda was set. There were many people booked for our day but we divided into groups of about 15 people/guide. Our guide, Jay!, gave an entertaining and informative history of Munich Old Town, taught us the underground/metro that we used to get to Thereienwiesen, gave a history of Oktoberfest on the grounds, and escorted us to our tent. We enjoyed meeting other members of our group and also felt totally comfortable exploring on our own once our food/beer from the tour was consumed - which is plenty and would be a complete day if you wanted (or were wise...).

We booked this tour about 45 days prior to Oktoberfest, and felt it was the only way to secure a table at a major tent. We found out other ways while there - but this was worth the money to avoid those hassles. Jay was our tour guide and he was great! The short Munich tour was very informative and a nice prelude to the actual Oktoberfest. We met some very fun people and were able to enjoy drinking beer with them all afternoon.
