Enjoyed our time at the zoo

While on a vacation/anniversary, we enjoyed visiting Nashville Zoo! Even tho it was raining off and on...we still loved the zoo. My wife loved seeing the monkeys in the women's restroom! How fun!

Half the zoo closed

It was a good day and the ticket process was easy. However, the reptile house needs to be open. It’s part of an already very small zoo and one of the spots people look forward to. Or price needs to change if it is going to continue to be closed. I would NOT buy a membership h too I knew that part was open. The playground too-we are doing playgrounds and aquariums safely all over the US with masks on and these should be the same.

Fantastic outing!

The Kangaroo park was beyond amazing and seeing a baby in its mothers pouch was beautiful to see! There was many hand sanitizing stations set up which was great to see :) Washrooms were nice and clean :)

Not worth the money

The ticket purchase process with Viator was not very intuitive. There need to be questions asking day and time. Also, the zoo is not impressive at all! Not many animals and definitely not worth the money!

Not a good time, and so expensive

There wasn’t a lot of animals there, not even a dang polar bear. Not a good zoo and the workers at the food place by the face paint couldn’t be more not smart, but that’s my opinion. Will not be coming back. Louisville zoo is way better.

Disappointed

Paid a lot of money. Booked online, was not told the lorikeets and tortoise exhibits were closed. We come to THIS zoo to experience those 2 exhibits. The rest of the zoo is a bonus.

Great zoo. It was clean and had a great atmosphere. They had all one way walking trails which made things easy for social distancing.

Very Beautiful Enclosures

This zoo is very well maintained & we liked the layout. The animal enclosures were beautiful, many included waterfalls. Make sure the use the women’s restroom at bear enclosure, there’s an exhibit there!

On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this visit a 5. My chief complaint is that they charged full admission price (the Website said $17 but it was actually $23) yet many areas were closed. I was surprised at how few animals I actually saw. The grounds were nice and I enjoyed walking through them but the employees were a little over-the-top about wearing masks. At one point a young man came right up beside me (social distancing???) and refused to move until I donned my mask. There wasn't another person in sight, not to mention the fact that we were basically in the woods, but he was way too close and too adamant about the whole thing. I was there a grand total of two hours and saw everything that was open. I think rating this trip a 5 may be a bit generous.

Great time at the Nashville Zoo

The new set up due to covid makes you feel safe while still allowing you to see most of the animals. We had a good time!

A good walk in spite of Covid-19
Jacob_B
, Jul 2020
Right now, not a lot of the main attractions, like walking with kangaroos, are open due to covid, but they have definitely added a lot more animals than my first visit. Many of the animals were in easy to watch and photograph shaded areas due to the heat. The one thing I will say is don't buy tickets from Viator. It is four dollars cheaper if you buy them directly from the nashville zoo website.

1st time Nashville Zoo visit
Crissy_M
, Jun 2020
If your near the Gibbons around roughly 10 or 11am, you can hear them yelling. They were very interesting to watch. I loved how active all the animals were. Could be that we were there at 9am before it got too hot. It was a great experience.

Exceeded expectations!

Amazing zoo! We were expecting a small, town zoo, but this far exceeded our expectations! Even in 40 degree weather; there were plenty of animals out for us to see. Perfect for my 3 year old. Only downfall was that parking was 7 dollars...

Wondrous, mind blowing and much larger both in scale and size than expected. Truly worth a visit. I hope Nashville Zoo will have a repeat although what could rival a full-size train, dragon, houses, wildlife??

the experience there on the day of...
Louis S
, Sep 2017
the experience there on the day of the Eclipse was indeed amazing. Everyone was given eclipse glasses at entrance and they were fully prepared for the eclipse experience. We are extremely glad we picked the Nashville zoo to witness the total eclipse! The whole zoo experience was great. Loved the habitat they created for all the animals with a true natural feel feel to it all. All the animals were very active and healthy.
