Cesky Krumlov Day Trip from Prague

a step back in time ,well worth the drive from Prague,so much to see and do for a little town, the history of this place is amazing

Cesky Krumlov is a great town, definitely worth visiting, but I would not recommend this tour. It takes 2.5-3 hours to get to Cesky Krumlov and unfortunatelly our bus was stinky. We have spent about 4 hours in Cesky Krumlov, which included 1 hour tour. We didn't enjoy the tour by George, he was walking very fast, so half of the group missed part of the explanations, but made sure everybody heard him promoting the restaurant and a jewelry shop. Anyway, free time was very nice, just not enough to enjoy the town as we had to find a place for lunch first. I guess that it's better to take a taxi there and back or stay overnight to really see Cesky Krumlov.

This tour did not meet our expectations at all: The description was not accurate, it did not mention the climb of high inclined which was not convenient for seniors and heart patients, this is totally irresponsible. The trip was for 3 hrs each way in a small very uncomfortable bus . The description should be re written with clear warnings

The guide enriched the experience with interesting stories ; also , during the bus travel , shared a lot about the country history which made it a wonderful experience .

We rrally enjoyed the trip. George was our guide formthe trip and because all passengers spoke English it made the conversatiohs much easier (George spoke 3 languages). The bus waw comfortable and had free Wifi onboard although it was a very hot day and the bus's A/C could have been a little better. We had adequate time around the town and the guided tour of the castle was wonderful. I'd recommemd the trip ro anyone.

Our bus air-conditioning was not working with a temperature of 27 degree Celsius outside and we have to endure a total of 5hours on the bus in that hot and humid condition. The tour company should ensure the bus is in good condition before starting the tour. The guide was Asian unfriendly and not knowledgeable. Very disappointed.

It was a wet cold rainy day, but even so Cesky Krumlov is an amazing place. The palace tour was not as wonderful as I thought it should be. The entrance and views are great as is the history.

Wonderful day trip! Excellent tour guide. Comfortable coach bus. The castle tour was also fun and very informative. The village is quaint and beautiful. Well worth the time and money! A must see while in Prague.

Let me start with the positive: Cesky Krumlov is a surely 'not to be missed' spot in Czech Republic. For that alone, this trip was worth it. The Guide through the castle was amazing. He was knowledgable and animated. That was one of the highlights of the tour. the negative: Our Trip Guide and Driver left a lot to be desired. The guide was knowledgable but spoke in such a low monotonous voice, it was hard to stay interested through the almost 3 hours trip there. And on the way back not a single word was spoken. Another nice thing was that the driver was nice enough to let us off on a side road instead of having to go back into the town and walk all the distant back home, overall I would say this was a 5 star location with a 3 star guide.

The town itself was beautiful! I wish I could have had a full day there! And the tour and guide in the castle was wonderful. He was charming and made it fun. Our driver and tour guide left something to be desired. We left late and had to make a second stop in the city to pick up passengers, so we lost about 20 mins of time that could have been spent in the town. Our bathroom stop was at a gas station where the guide told us we could buy coffee and snacks if needed. But the driver complained about all the coffee being brought onto his bus, so that was uncomfortable. We passed thru sweet little villages and you'd have thought those would have made much nicer stops. When we arrived at Krumlov, it was a trek up a long hill that we were not prepared for and we were not allowed to leave anything on the bus. She gave us a tour of the town then sent us on our way for free time, telling us EXACTLY what time to be at the castle gate or we'd miss the tour and the gate would be locked. But she didn't tell us what time her watch showed so we could all make sure we had the correct time. And she didn't go on the tour with us and simply said she'd be waiting at the other door...........well, when the castle tour was over, many of us couldn't find her. When we did find her, lots of ladies had gone to use the restroom before hiking back down to the bus. The guide was upset by this because the bus needed to leave so she went to the bathroom to get all of them. She never told us NOT to use the restroom. One poor lady got lost and the guide had to hunt her down, so we were 30 mins late leaving again. Gas station stop 15 mins later, then total silence the next 2 hours home. Small bus tours can and should be great experiences where the guests feel excited to be together for the day and share this new adventure. THIS WAS NOT ONE OF THOSE TOURS.
