Start your private walking tour with a pick up from your central Prague hotel. Then, set off to explore as you learn about Prague’s incredible 1,000-year-old history. If there’s something you want to see more of, just ask your guide. Your tour is private, so the itinerary can be tailored to your interests.

As you stroll around the history-steeped squares and streets, pass by the Bethlehem Chapel, a restored medieval chapel where the Czech national hero Jan Hus preached during the 1400s.

Work your way to Wenceslas Square, the bustling rectangular street that was the setting for two of the country’s defining moments during the 20th century — the 1968 Prague Spring and the 1989 Velvet Revolution against Soviet rule. See the statue of King Wenceslas that acted as a focal point for protestors and learn about the Czechs who fought for their country’s freedom.

Pass the Estates Theatre, where Mozart conducted the premiere of his opera Don Giovanni in 1787, and see Charles University, one of Europe’s oldest universities, and then head into the Old Town Square, the medieval heart of Prague.

Hear how it started life in the 12th century as the city’s main marketplace, and admire the candy-colored buildings, grand churches and mechanical Astronomical Clock, dating back to the 1400s.

Refuel with a drink (own expense) and continue to the former Jewish Quarter. Amble down the elegant streets as your guide tells tales of Prague’s age-old Jewish heritage, and see the Old Jewish Cemetery and Old New Synagogue, Europe’s oldest working synagogue.

Lastly, walk to the Vltava River to snap photos of huge, hilltop Prague Castle and the enchanting Charles Bridge. Your tour then ends in central Prague.

Guide was not a local, so not the same feel as our other tours. Very personable and friendly, but just not up to par.

Our guide was very friendly but did not seem to have the depth of knowledge or passion we saw in some of the other tours that we had taken. It was just the two of us with him for 2 1/2 hours. I was expecting more historical and cultural context particularly around the 1968 events and the Velvet Revolution which happened on Wenceslas Square. It just felt slightly perfunctory. He did a pretty good job of explaining the Astronomical Clock but other than that it was not interesting. For example, he took us to the Jewish Quarter but didn't give us any historical background about why Prague had such a large Jewish Quarter. We looked through an opening at the cemetery and that was the extent of the Jewish Quarter tour. He was not a Czech so maybe that had something to do with it. All in all it was not worth the time and money.

I am so pleased I took this tour. The young man, oh how I wish I could remember his name, was amazing. The pace of the tour was perfect. I saw things on the tour that were out of the norm for tourists of Prague. He was funny and interesting and really knew his way around Prague. I told him that I was going on a Jewish Quarter Tour the following day and he quickly structured my tour to parts of Prague that we could go in place of the Jewish Quarter. He even stopped whilst I bought gingerbread, and gave me a shiny new 50 koruna for my grandsons' coin collection!!! Highly recommended.

Amazing tour with a great person and amazing young guide. Honza made this tour very interesting, and he got the way to engage truly both my girls, 13 and 11 years old. He was respectful and kind, and attentive to our questions and the ones from my little one. Thank you ! GUIDE AAA

My 2 friends and I took this tour our first morning in Prague. We wanted to get our bearings and an overview of the city. Our guide, Ondrej, was fantastic he had a wealth of knowledge to share and made the tour fun. He also gave us numerous insights on how to truly experience Prague. I highly recommend this tour to any first-time visitors to Prague.

What a great way to learn a new city. John our guide was full of knowledge about Prague and its history. As an added bonus we learned how to get around the city on our on. John loved his country and his enthusiasm was contagious. We visited Old Town, Wenceslas Square and Jewish Quarter. Prague has a rich and varied history and it was great to learn. John took us to a local coffee house called Cafe Ebel. The latte's were excellent and the desserts melted in our mouth. He also gave us some restaurants to try and look forward to them.

Our tour guide, John, was great! He was like a walking encyclopedia about the history and details of what we saw. Unfortunately, we had to cut the tour short after 2 hrs, due to another commitment.
