Shared Puerto Princesa Bay Cruise with Dinner and Fireflies Watching

The boat ride and dinner was nice, but wished that the fireflies were more numerous and impressive than what I can find at home with our fireflies.

Although this tour was enjoyable in the end, it caused me a full day of frustration and angst. First of all, I specifically chose this tour because it was the only tour of all the companies I researched that left before sundown. Viator was simply the booking company, but the trip was actually operated locally by Corazon Travel and Tours. I was required to contact these people to find out the pickup time from my hotel. First of all, they didn't respond to my WhatsApp so I had to make a long distance call from the US to get in touch with them. When I did, they informed me that my pickup time would be way after sunset. I told them it couldn't be correct because according to the description, the bay cruise and dinner were to be observing the sunset. They basically said I was confused and continued to tell me the tour would start at 7pm sunset was 6:15 and also that the dinner would be on the beach not on a floating restaurant as indicated in the description. I tried to get ahold of Viator, but of course their turnaround time wasn't quick enough. After several more phone calls to the travel agency I finally gave up and decided I would just take the tour since it was my last night in town. The tour company said they would pick me up at 6pm and I could take sunset pictures while I waited for the 7pm boat. Somewhat of a compromise, I guess. However, the van showed up 30 minutes early at 5:30pm thank goodness we were at the hotel and we ended up boarding a boat just after sunset. The agency never contacted me to tell me they had put me on the correct trip or that the pickup time was changed. The actual trip was great, firefly watching was fun and the dinner on the floating restaurant was good. But I would not recommend signing up for this trip unless Viator can find a better, more reliable contractor.
