  • The tour reservations have strict timing. To join the tour, you are required to be at the meeting point for check-in at least 15 minutes prior to your tour departure time.
  • If you arrive late for the meeting time, it will not be possible to join the group or reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per "No Show" rules you will not be entitled to a refund.
  • Knees & Shoulders MUST be covered for both men & women to enter the Sistine Chapel!
  • Please note that on the day of your visit certain areas of the monument/attraction can be closed due to either religious events and national holidays.
  • Stroller accessible
  • Near public transportation
  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Please be advised capacity regulations and security may delay the tour departure This could also influence the smooth running of the tour especially on national holidays and events.
  • Cancellations, changes or issues due to weather, security and events held by the monument are beyond our control and are directly decided by their administration team. These issues will be reviewed by us and dealt with on an individual basis but are the responsibility of the monument.
  • All visitors must pass through the monument/attraction security check please allow at least 20 minutes to clear security.
  • The exact timings and reservations can vary, dependant on the monument/attraction’s administration offices availabilities and decisions on the booking day and can be subject to last minute changes. Departure time can differ up to 20 minutes from your selected time.
  • Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair.
  • Please be aware that large bags/backpacks/suitcases are not permitted in the monument/ attraction. Only very small bags are allowed. Please do not bring these items with you on the day of your tour as there are no cloakrooms at the monument.
  • Students booking a reduced ticket must have a photo ID, you must bring a photo ID to be allowed into the monument.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 30 travelers

The Vatican Museum is a must see, not only in Rome.., but a must see in a lifetime.. it is absolutely beautiful. Christina (our American tour guide) was phenomenal. She was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, charismatic, kind, yet assertive.. I would give her a 11/10 if I could.. Through this tour, I was able to get a deeper sense of the heavy history behind almost every piece of art.. it made it that much more meaningful and memorable. This is amazing for all age groups. Just some tips: please stay hydrated, it can get extremely hard during the summer months.. (people actually passing out), and be courteous of the dress code!

While the tour guide was lovely she was not very aware of the frustration of walking so slow. 1/2 the group was ahead of her and couldn’t stand waiting for her to catch up. The information was interesting, but after awhile history would have been more interesting then pointing out marble. We did this to skip the lines, but it was definitely not worth the price of the tour. I had hoped at least some historical information about the Popes, the church , etc would have been provided. Way too much on paintings and not about the historical significance.

Christina was a fantastic tour guide ! Created an incredible experience . One of the others in the tour got Ill and fainted and Christina jumped into action immediately to help her getting Vatican medics . She was so knowledgeable and fun . 10/10 would recommend . This was a great tour and great value for money. However, there were alot of tours all going on at the same time & it was very busy and squashed. It felt like we were all being pushed through the museum and we nearly lost our tour guide, we couldn’t really experience the full museum as it was everyone just pushing through.

This was one of our tours of our trip to Rome that was so worth it. Our tour guide was Christina with Maya Tours and she was the most wonderful and nice guide ever who involved everyone in the group and always explained every single detail very well and even introduced us to many interesting facts about certain art works. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone wanting to find out more about the beauty of Rome’s artwork and it’s history!

Concise tour of the Sistine Chapel and Museum

Christine was an excellent tour guide. It would take days to see everything, so she pointed out the highlights. She sat us down and gave us a comprehensive explanation of the Sistine Chapel and of the life of Michelangelo with pictures from a book. She doesn’t accompany the group into the chapel because there is no talking or picture taking inside. She gives you the option to remain in the museum and look around more without a guide. This tour does not include a guided tour of the basilica. She leads you to the entrance and then your on your own. If you want to see more, allow yourself a lot of time. The crowds are massive.
