Why I will never use Hop on-Hop off on my life

First, viator was not responsible for this rating. The customer service at viator was INCREDIBLE! I will use them anytime. However, I never got to use the bus. Why- maybe there are actual stops, but we couldn’t find them. I asked no less than 6 people, tour guides, Vienna experts, and they had no idea. I saw 2 buses my entire time in Vienna. They are not easy or convenient and the customer availability is laughable. Use the metro- it’s inexpensive and easy, the opposite of the hop on- hop off bus experience.

We do provide over 20 stops throughout the city, they are shown in detail on our website where we also provide the exact address and a description of the stop surrounding. Strict Cancellation Policy and Inflexible customer service attitude

I had accidently booked a Bus-on-Bus-off in Vienna on my credit card on 6/1/2022 (same day as booking), when in fact we aren't scheduled to arrive in Vienna until June 14. Within 5 minutes of noticing the error, I contacted Viator and requested their assistance in amending date change. The associate (Abigael) was extremely helpful and advised that she would contact the tour operator for date change. Later, another associate contacted me advising me that Viator can't assist since their policy requires cancellation to be made 24-hour in advance. I mentioned that this isn't a cancellation but a date change. As these Hop-on-Hop-off tours run daily, activation of booking typically occurs at time of boarding, as we had experienced in other countries. The associate keeps stating this is company's cancellation policy. So, unless the tour operator in Austria reviews my request, and is willing to make a date change, we'll be out by $200.

Going on the Big Red Bus, hop on hop off tour, was an excellent way to see the city sights and to get your bearings, We went for the deluxe option which included a river cruise and and guided walk, We only used the bus and the river parts on our trip and where worth every penny. We were aware this is a 1 hour waiting bus. It given you time to explore for one hour before the next bus arrive. Our bus camera earlier, so we wanted fo 1 hour and ten minutes, with no a close stop closer, and the person in that spot was no friendly at all. 13 stops, not much for the price. Our first bus driver was very nice. The one only nice out of the four people we crossed from the vendor.

Great way to see the whole beautiful city. Learnt a lot from the commentary. The walking tour was great too as you got to go to places the buses can’t go our guide was very informative and friendly. The boat trip was also very enjoyable. Unfortunately we didn’t get to do the night tour as we ran out of time.

One of the guys that work for the company informed the wrong bus stop. So I was waiting for long and the bus didn't come. I found another guy that works for the company and he said that I was at the wrong bus stop. So I missed it for bad information. As I booked the evening tour that was the only one of the day. The bus seemed to manage to be almost on time despite the dreadful traffic holdups at times. Was very disappointed with the lack of a river cruise with the deluxe ticket. We got off as stated for a 4.00 pm cruise that had been cancelled.. no one told us this and we had to wait around in the cold and wet for the next bus back as we were in the middle of no where. Not a good experience. Rest of your was fine. Good guide on the night time tour.
