The experience was good. The only disappointment was dinner. The tour through the palace, the ride through the gardens and the concert was very good.

Dear Frank_W, thank you for your good feedback on the Schoenbrunn Palace Concerts! Dinner includes the traditional dish "Tafelspitz", Franz and Sisi's favorite food. We are sorry that dinner was a disappointment for you! Overall, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed the ride and the classical concert! warm regards from Vienna.

    Not worth the money

The tour was ok. Waiting for the rest of our group before proceeding to the next room was annoying. Hearing everyone else’s narration on their phones was distracting, they need to give out headphones or tell people to bring them. The waiting was frustrating, it seemed to be a bit disorganised. The train ride to dinner was a bit lacking. The dinner was rushed and not great. The potatoes were cold and the spinach sauce was weird and was too much. It was dripping off my plate. The apple dessert was very good. But because of all the waiting they rushed us and then we got back on the train and waited again. The concert was good, I enjoyed the light show, but it was very hot. I feel like for the money I would rather have had dinner somewhere else and then gone to the concert.

A fabulous opulent palace well worth seeing. Audio tour was informative, but my headset didn't work and had to share my husbands. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely, but set menu and no choices. Bit of a faf collecting tickets - why they can't be all in one place instead of spread out so much is maddening and a long walk in between each.

The tour and dinner were good. Disappointed with set up for music. Seemed too touristy for me. No program. Did not announce music. Did not enjoy the dancers. Distracted from music

Great evening!! Allow yourself 3-4 hours before dinner to tour palace, zoo, and gorgeous gardens. The place you pick up tickets is far from the main gate just keep walking.

The Schönbrunn Palace was a beautiful location. Was lovely to walk around the palace and garden and enjoy the evening before the wonderful concert. Just before we we had dinner which was quite nice for a set menu. We were able to pick decent wines to accompany and then we were led to the concert hall where the show did not disappoint. The orchestra, singers and dancers really brought the wonderful music to life and made for a magical evening In Vienna. Recommend this tour for sure.

Visiting Schoenbrunn is a must if you are in Vienna. I booked the tour with dinner and concert because I didn’t have much time and wanted to get a “taste” of everything in a few hours. The tour of the palace was fantastic and the concert great! The dinner wasn’t too bad but it was just not what I expected.

The palace is beautiful, the grounds are exceptional and the concert was unforgettable. The dinner certainly was not. Meat was rather HARD to chew and just not a really tasty meal. Service was just ok I would skip it and do only the concert

We really enjoyed the opportunity to see the Palace in our own time. The dinner was delicious and presented and served really well. The concert was also excellent. A great tour. Give yourself plenty of time to visit the gardens as they are very big and worth spending lots of time in them.

    A 60 year wait

Having spent a day in the palace grounds on a 3 week school holiday staying outside the city 60 years ago, I always promised to come back. This day was even more magical than the first, to still be able to climb the stairs in the Gloriette was a dream, although I didn’t run across the top this time. The dinner and concert were all a bonus as was the wonderful palace. With over 50 12 year olds running about we were not allowed inside then but my Husband and I made up for it this time.

It'd not hurt to include the timing of the guided tour in your write up to prevent any unpleasant surprises. We only found out that the last tour is at 4.30pm when we arrived at the ticket office at 5.15pm. Although we were given the option of going back the next day, it'd mean changing your plans. The 3 course dinner was poor and not worth the price. While the performers were good, they were let down by the acoustic of the hall. Also the seats were uncomfortable. The saving grace from our experience is the garden around the palace which is free of charge.

    Caveats for Palace Visit

Great event but be forewarned, your ticket does not provide a time for entry, which is assigned at the ticket office itself (not where you pick up your passes), and could be many hours later than your arrival. Large crowds appear in the AM, we got there at 10 and were assigned a 3:30 tour! Also, we booked the top tier concert seats (first 3 rows) and WELL worth the cost. Strongly suggested.

The concert was great and the meal was very pleasant. However, our tickets said 6.30. We arrived at 6 and were told that we were too late for the tour. This is so unclear on the tickets and we were massively disappointed to not be able to do this. I have emailed Viator but have had no response. The descriptions really need to make this clearer. Also our tickets were more expensive than other people there doing exactly the same thing as us.

Hello, As you well know we ordered a package the rate of which was at all not cheap... While we felt that we got value for money regarding the tour and especially regarding the lovely concert we feel that it is our duty to make a strong remark regarding the Dinner. The least one could expect is to have a choice within the three course menu and not a fixed non-flexible one. Our request from the waiters to offer at least the children a more "friendly" manu were at the beginning rejected stubbornly. Only after we have spoken to a nice gentleman in the name of Avni (I hope I correctly remember the name) the children were served with some "eatable" courses to their tastes. As we understood different tables were served different manues but ours was strictly fixed. I think more generosity in this respect could have served better the overall impression of the whole experience at the Palace.
